My 67 project " pipe dream "

I'm calling this build pipe dream cause that's what it's going to take to build it. Owning a home and raising a family doesn't leave much cash left over for a build that needs everything.
The plan is a static 5" drop small block with a 700R4 and vintage a/c. I've already got a set of factory buckets and just put in an order for most of the suspension...... And so it begins!Name: image.jpg

It's def a labor of love... I probably should have saved more money and bought a truck that was farther along. I do not plan on tearing my truck down until i'm ready to work on pieces. It needs a little weld work but overall looks good to the average person. Good Luck on your build.

Are you going to keep the molding? If not let me know as I'm looking for a few bed pieces.

I know how that it. But the beauty of it is, you own the truck. One bolt at a time. It'll get there. Have fun with your build!

Thanks for the support guys. Yes I am keeping the moldings. I either need to find the rest or god forbid buy all new.

Re: My 67 project " pipe dream "

Just take your time. having raised a family, and a house, My best advice is, come up with a solid build plan. constantly look for deals on parts, even ones you may not need yet. Sometimes the deal of the day can save you some money later. Don't get frustrated. it will come together in time.

I got frustrated on a car I was building once, I ended up selling it 3/4 done, bought a car that ran already and could cruise, and hated myself ever since. and some of my friends are kind enough to remind me, that the car I was building, was WAY cooler, that the car I drove......

Re: My 67 project " pipe dream "

I got a set of factory CST bucket seats. The interior color is a factory silver color. I thought 67-72 where body color but my truck has original black paint exterior and silver inside

Re: My 67 project " pipe dream "

You guys are lucky being able to find '67 swb small windows.
I would love to find one myself, but unable to find one that doesn't need huge amounts of cab overhaul.

Good luck on your projects!
