what tranny did 78 c30 scottsdale come with
It came with a 350 v8 originally, it has an automatic tranny, it is a larger tranny as the flywheel is bigger than the one on my 68's 307. What transmission could this be?? 400, or 700???
I'm not familiar with trannys...and I'm a 67-72 guy...don't know where to look for this info on the truck.

it's dfinately NOT a 700R4 in 78. the TH350 had a square pan with one corner knocked off. the 400's had the state of texas shape to them. (well without the panhandle anyway). The flywheels make no difference in the trannys. 90% sure you would have a TH400 in that, DAVE
