Lowering question
I'm in the process of figuring out what to do with my 55 Chevy 3100 2nd series. I would like to lower it, but I still plan to use the truck to carry firewood etc. If you use lowering springs, are you still able to haul a reasonable load in the truck, or should I just use the stock suspension. I would like to keep the cost low on this project. Thanks for your help in advance.

I think production lowering springs have the same as original spring rate. A dropped axle or having your axle dropped wouldn't change the load capacity though.
On the springs I'd ask the company selling the springs. It should be a yes or no answer.

If you're just looking to lower it 2 1/2" - 3" but still use it as a truck then Super Sliders are the way to go
