Car Kits or Custom? (Truck)

When I saw this one the road today I figured what better place to go ask about it than on this forum.

After doing a quick search on the web and coming up empty I went to the next best thing, you guys.

we've all seen the car kits or Kit Cars, today I saw an 88 to 98 body style chevy tahoe with the complete front (hood, fenders, grill, bumper, etc...) of a 1966 chevy truck, it was on the freeway and it was going the opposite way, so I didnt get to pay attention to all the details, like how the fenders blended into the door(s) etc...

I am wanting to know if this is common or just a great custom job or if there are kits out there to do this.

Any help or pictures would help, Thanks

The Camaro one isn't so bad, but the truck confuses my brain.
