Q-Ject Carb Leaking?

Can you guys help me identify what is leaking here?

It seems to NOT leak while running, and when I shut it down it drips < 10 times, then stops.

The leak is coming out right below the choke cover thing.

here's a video tell me what you think.

It's flooding a hair!
Crap in the needle/seat, float set too high or needle hung on the float wrong.

Re: Q-Ject Carb Leaking?

So that would be gas coming out of the overflow valve/tube?

You would then it would be vented away from the engine, like on a motorcycle, you have a tube that runs to the ground (or you used to!).

No such thing as an overflow tube on a quadrajet. If it floods it goes into the engine which yours does when it's running. In extreme cases when it floods it gushes out the top of the carb. Even while running.
The tube on top is a vent.
