Oil guage fitting

I've got more questions bout hookin this thing up. I've got my copper line, but I can't find a compression fitting that will screw into the back of my guage. I've been to local parts stores, NAPA, and through old truck books, can't find anything. Thanks for your help.

Low69,

When I did work on my cluster, I damaged the compresson fitting....I took the old one off the metal line and NAPA found one in stock. I put it on and it fit perfect.

While you have the thing apart, throw that dinky compression type line away and get a braided stainless line. For the money its well worth the piece of mind because they are so much more durable.

braided line 4ever!

i bought from summit a few -3 to 1/8 pipethread adaptors & some -3AN line with teflon tubing inside the braided (by russell) with the ends already formed on the end & it works great - you cant make super sharp bends with it BUT it will last a real long time & you'll never need to worry about a squirt of hot oil inside your truck....

I'll take the guage to a local parts show and see if I can figure out what thread it is. Passthebuck, the port in the block looks like 1/8 pipe, but the guage looks almost like a regular thread. I'll head to the parts shop and see what happens.
