original paint colors please
1 I am looking for original paint colors/combos listed by year
2 I am looking for pictures of these paint colors. I recently bought a "light yellow" 1970 short step from the original owner in original paint. The truck needs a complete repaint and the cab is probably going to be scrapped due to the needed repair. I would build the truck back original but 1 I dislike yellow 2 the original block is completely rusted-no heads and intake for 10+years=giant paper weight. I think I want to go back with an original color, but probably not the original color. So far I am thinking dark green bottom/light or olive green cab using the original two tone paint lines. I am open to all pictures/suggestions. This will not be a stock build but I want to keep the stock exterior look plus some aftermarket wheels or possibly stock rallys. But back to the paint... I am most interested in stock colors so please no pictures other than those.

Re: original paint colors please
Just for clarification I know what color my truck was originally. I am looking for ideas to change to. I also thought we could create a good database of info and pictures to back up the data.

Re: original paint colors please
TCP had pictures of the old PPG books with color chips of all the factory paints.

Re: original paint colors please
Here is the generic info packet for a '70 Chevy pickup from the GM Heritage Center archives.
It will show (in words/chart form) all of the available color combinations for that model year. K http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/docs...olet-Truck.pdf
