52 GMC almost completed
well hello to all the hot-rod guys on this forum, I've been around here watching a lot of the builds that go on here. I to am one of the many who has built my own custom, now mind you my idea of custom may be different then most. I have a 1952 GMC 5-window long bed pick-up that I have been told is a rare truck due to the fact it came with a hydramatic transmission.all results that I have found lead me to believe that. and maybe with the picture for the one's on here skeptical of using nova or Camaro sub-frames look at the stance of this truck..... it has a 1973 Nova SS sub-frame under it and a 1980 Camaro 10 bolt rear-end. so I thought I would throw a thread out there with what I would call finishing touches to a 10 year and 2 total builds on this truck!!

Re: 52 GMC almost completed
so here is a couple of picture's of what the truck was when I got it roughly 11 years ago, pulled it out of a field in Sacramento, Calif. sat for 19 years before I got it. no running gear in it, basically a shell, interior, frame. [ATTACH]1216977[/ATTACH

Re: 52 GMC almost completed
hi 1952, just one word AWSOME... paint looks super and what a color- would like to see it in the sun-lite bet it pops 5 years on the build you're on the slope down to finishing it. I have 5 years between 2 builds on mine. BUT what fun it was!

Re: 52 GMC almost completed
Well to all interested to know this sweet looking ride of mine will be headed oversea's to Holland on April 4th 2014 so guess I will have to find another project to work on, and have my eyes on a 1953 GMC 3 window short bed frame cab front group. NO bed. but nice purchase price.
