Re: body shot

I like the way it sits.

I am a '52 model, also, so your truck is 61-years old.

Re: body shot

to whammer33024. truck originally was painted a two-tone scheme on the first build was gloss white body and grabber blue fenders and splash aprons till the fire of 2007. that's why it is painted the purple metallic owner mixed. was to close to plum crazy purple so added more purple and silver to give it the look it has now, its a base/clear and no color sanding at all done. tell the wife thank you but it did take a little while to get used to it. BUT I LOVE IT NOW and it is a head turning truck as it rolls down the road!

Re: body shot

thanks that's what I like about this site. I've watched lot's of builds and very amazed at some of the skills guy's have on here. I'm very much a rookie at this building thing, but have learned a lot about welding fabbing and making things work.

Wait, did you built the truck? And you don't know why that name is on it?

You know that in Greek mythology a Phoenix is a long lived bird that would be reborn periodically? I'm fairly certain the truck was brought back "from the dead" as most of these trucks are.

Re: body shot

thanks Dan, just testing the water out there to see if anyone knew the Greek mythology as whammer33024 stated Yes the Gmc went through a major fire in 2007. from windshield posts straight down and forward burning everything to the ground. was sitting in the truck when it caught fire, never want that again terrible feeling. just wanted to see who was awake out here. Congrats to you for solving the question.

Don't advertise the for sale part here you'll get the thread locked. You have to be a supporting member to sell on this site.
