Shocks

Any recomendations for shocks? 72 4x4 blazer. Stock height, nothing special. I'm leaning toward rancho, probably because i see them on TV, the RS5000. I will go off roading some, through the field, through a stream, but no rock crawling for me. Most driving will be done on country backroads.

Has anyone ever restored the old spiral shocks, is it posible?

Thanks in advance.

shocks

I like PRO COMP. Price is rite. I've installed then on other vehicles before and am really happy. I also install them on my 69 4x4, but it's not on the road yet. I think Rancho is a bit over rated. Good luck.

your spiral shocks or whatever are restorable? mine are all rusted thru in at least a few spaces, and both of my rear ones are nothing but the two ends that connect to the frame and the axle!

FWIW, I had Monroe Gas Magnums - nice big fat shocks, but they got mushy so I replaced them with KYB Gasajusts. Good firm control, decent ride, excellent price.
