How are you protecting your Buddy Buckets?

Before I get capped on I searched 20 pages of existing posts looking for this topic and did not find it.

Do any of you have a recommendation for a seat cover to protect refurbished Buddy Bucket upholstery? I know there are a ton of covers out there but I want to see if anyone here has already been through this and found good/comfortable ones specifically for Buddy Buckets.

Any help is appreciated.

You have new aftermarket seat covers in vinyl ? or custom made by an interior shop ? The quality of the vinyl is like a 2 after market pre made to a 10 made by an interior shop ,Also what are you protecting them from ? is it a daily driver ?

Custom made by an interior shop. Thats why I am considering a cover of some kind.

I will rotate this into my daily drivers and expect to put 6-7,000 on it a year.

Don't bother with a cover those seats will take a beating and still look good , vinyl is a petroleum product and has pores just like real leather wiping vinyl protectant just makes them shiny and has little other benefit other than filing the pores and that's not good ,Vinyl can be cleaned with soap and water , Grease can be removed with gas or mineral spirits ,if you park it outside in the sun just throw a sheet over them when your not using it .pre made seat covers are basically junk Chinese vinyl the automotive grade vinyl will last a long time ,Other than that leave them alone and enjoy the ride !

I agree 100% with both of you, but I spend a fair amount of time on job sites in the Sierra Mountains around here and the Red Dirt up there stains anything it touches. Trust me nothing takes it completely out, I have 20 years experience with it. I have no plans to thrash these seats or leave them covered up all the time and my truck is Garaged unless its on the road but I would like to find a nice cover for the drivers bucket just the same to install in the winter at least. If I do not come across one on here I will have it made to fit the bill.

When I take the Benz in for service, they put a vinyl "poncho" kinda thing over the driver's seat to protect it from grease, etc. It's made pretty nice, and heavy duty -they save and re-use them. Whole wall full of them in the service drive. So, something from an auto repair shop supply company maybe?

Yah, I've seen those, litew8, and they might work. The ones I saw were really nicely made out of a canvas type material.

yw, I don't have buddy buckets, but the disposable plastic is what I'd use if it were temporary. No washing to clean, just toss in the trash when done.
