tilt column rebuilding
I have a tilt colum thatt came from a floor shift so no shifter on the colunn. But I need to take off the turn signal switch housing and possably replace some loose bearings. Can someone send me a link to show how to tear these down properly.

i would send a PM to Kevsclassics on here, he rebuilds and refurbishes columns, and does an outstanding Job , I am sure he would help you out

The factory service manuals have a great deal of information on the columns.

X2; on the sevice manual, excellant exploded view....just a couple tools youll have to build to get it apart. Did mine awhile ago, and just a couple peices need to have proper orientation to go back together, but mine was not a floor shift.....if you can post up pics, always helps to see what your into...

If you want to do it yourself, one more vote for the "factory" service manual for the model of vehicle that the tilt came out of. Normally the tech writers who write those do not assume that the person in the shop following the instructions ever worked any component of the vehicle before and write instructions step by step accordingly.
It might not hurt to get the digital camera out and take photos as you go taking it apart. They don't cost anything and my just solve that question of does this go this way or does it go that way.

Definatly ill be taking pics during teardown. Its time consuming but a lifesaver.
