Spring Stop adjustment...
Not sure of the actual name for this piece but it is the adjustable bracket at the rear of the driver side leaf spring.
I stripped & painted my frame and am now in the process of putting the new suspension on and can not find anything that mentions this piece in my manuals. I need to know what the proper installation is. Should there be any play/space between the bracket and spring eye? Help anyone!? Much thanks.

Mine was welded on and when I put my lift on it interferred with the spring so I cut it off.

1970 K25, 8' stepside bed 350/465/205 44 up front, 60 in the rear 4.10s rolling on 33" Dunlop MTs 1986 K5, 350/465/208 Dana 60/14 bolt from a cucv 36" Super Swampers TSL/SX 1983 K20 w/ CUCV axles, 350/700R4/208 sitting on 37" Goodyears 1986 M1031 6.2 diesel, TH400/NP205 locker in the rear and a LS in the front, all stock for now..... 1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone. 1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed. 1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm |

Theres no adjustment for it, it just bolts on, I had to take mine off when I installed my lift it didnt give the spring any movement. This was a safety feature that works along with the strap that is welded to the front drivers side perch, this was to keep the leaf spring in place should the main leaf brake at the eye, this way the truck wont veer off the road due to the short draglink. The first 69 4x4 I bought had a broken main leaf and I didnt know it till I got the truck home after a 75 mile trip.

Thanks for the response.
Mine has slotted holes that it bolts through. This gives 1"-2" of forward/backward adjustment.

Sorry Frank, I just went out and looked at my old bracket and it does have elongated holes giving some adjustment, this would make sense to be able to move it back as the spings settle, if you are going to use it I would mount it close to the spring but leave it a little loose, drive the truck over some good size bumps and see how far it moves back then move it back another 1/4 inch and tighten down.
