Re: New 1971-72 Turbo 400 Transmission Kickdown Harness

Is this the harness that plugs into the switch near the gas pedal or the one that plugs into a switch near the carburetor?

The gas pedal. If you need one for 1967-70 that had the switch on the carburetor, let me know because I have some of those in stock.

Thanks Roger

The harness goes thru an existing pass thru grommet located above the gas pedal assembly.

Ign unfused for power.

It just needs power from the fuse box to engage the passing gear.

Re: New 1971-72 Turbo 400 Transmission Kickdown Harness

I am building a 68 BB and trying to keep it original looking. What do you want for the earlier carb harness? And do you have a working switch for that set up?

I have a harness and the kick down switch with mounting bracket. Let me see if I have the bracket that mounts to the carb linkage which will complete the system

Hi Roger Do you still have a 71 harness (Gas Pedal) and one of the NOS Switches? Do they even make aftermarket switches for this application?

At this time I know of no one in the aftermarket who manufactures the switch. GM dropped the switch about a year ago. It make take several years before some one manufactures one. I was lucky to come across some switches at my gm dealer.

I have it. $39.00 shipped. It uses the carb mounted kickdown switch.
