1998 Chevy 1500 RCSS

New around here. Been kinda browsing through the forum for awhile and decided to make an account! Anyways here are the stats on the truck:

1998 Chevy 1500 Z71 Reg Cab Stepside
5.7 Vortec
Automatic
3.73 gears
Around 180,000 on her.

"Built not Bought"

I am a young at only 17, but I respect a good looking truck, and worked at a semi detailing/polishing shop for a year when I was 16. Bought the truck when I was 15. Waited until winter was over then parked it and started rippin her apart! Got it done a few months later! This was my dad and I's father/son project and I enjoyed every minute of working on her! Well after all the work my dad and I went through it has started to rust a little bit again sadly because of winter, so I will be rust repairing again this summer and hopefully have a different vehicle for next winter!

Anyways enough of my talking, here are the pics of the stages she has gone through! (probably going to take a few posts because I am a pic whore lol)

Current pics!

The day I bought her:

Yes I know looked like a POS, but I looked past the dirt and seen a canvas for something sick!

Cleaned her up to see her real beauty! Haha

Trying to get paint ideas with some masking tape because I was bored...

Then the tear down began! (next post)

Great looking truck. Looked good before, looks better now. I do like those wheels that were on it, they have always struck me as period-correct for these trucks.

Yeah, but the truck is going through a whole face lift here soon, so I think the rims and tires will be right at home with the new look she is going to have!

Thanks! I recognize your truck from over at GMT400! I can really appreciate the amount of work that had to go into that thing! If only I had the cash to get mine perfected like that! Haha

Anyways, grabbed a couple pics today after I gave her a quick bath.

Thanks man! It is pretty loud. All the vids that I have taken of the system going are just after installation. I will have to get a new vid because they have really broken in since. People hop in and want to hear it and are blown away that it is coming from only 2 10" subs on only 1000 watts. The airflow is key with the ported box! If you have any questions just hit me up!
