C20 Axle Decoding
Hi,
I am trying to decode the axle from a donor C20. But I can't find any sites or references in any search that show the codes. I understand the middle 4 digits are Month and Day, but I can't decode the prefix or suffix. Can anyone share a web reference or at least help decode what I have? ID: THU 0305 G1 |

Re: C20 Axle Decoding
Guess you hit a limit there.
While HU is correct for a C20 4.57 axle it is a 67 code, The code as a whole breaks down as below. A 67 would not have the "T" prefix. BTW: The factory parts manual is a good place to look for application codes. T Truck HU 4.10 open 1970 CA20 03 March 05 5th day of March G Chevrolet Gear and Axle plant 1 1st night shift (IIRC)
