Anyone have a picture of an automatic transmission crossmember and the direction in which the slope goes? Putting mine back in, which was missing when I purchased the truck.
Have searched the forum with little luck. I have read where someone stated the slope goes towards the back??? But what direction are they considering the slope??
Hope someone can help with this simple question.

The lower part of the slope goes to the back. It isn't much of a slope but it's so that the trans mount sits flat with the angle of the engine/trans combo.

Hope that makes sense...

Yes, it makes total sense.
I could think of reasons why for both directions but wanted to make sure before I installed the motor and tranny. I think it would be more difficult to flip it while the transmission is in the truck if I didn't do it right the first time.
