th350 transmission crossmember
Anyone have a picture of an automatic transmission crossmember and the direction in which the slope goes? Putting mine back in, which was missing when I purchased the truck.
Have searched the forum with little luck. I have read where someone stated the slope goes towards the back??? But what direction are they considering the slope?? Hope someone can help with this simple question. |

The lower part of the slope goes to the back. It isn't much of a slope but it's so that the trans mount sits flat with the angle of the engine/trans combo. Hope that makes sense... LockDoc

Re: th350 transmission crossmember
Thank You LockDoc for the reply.
Yes, it makes total sense. I could think of reasons why for both directions but wanted to make sure before I installed the motor and tranny. I think it would be more difficult to flip it while the transmission is in the truck if I didn't do it right the first time. Thanks again |
