Wheel back spacing question.

I have a 68 swb and have converted the front to 5 lug from a 72 I have a rear-end from a 72 as well but also have a axle conversion for my 68 rear-end so since a 68 rear-end is shorter than a 71 or 72, if I do the axle conversion instead of changing the whole rear-end what is a good back spacing for a 10 inch wide wheel so it fills out the rear wheel wells? Thanks

The best thing to do is install the 72 rear axle complete , then you could go with 20X10 with 5.5 Backspace and 20X8.5 with 5.25 backspace. This way if you were to lower it they work and fill the wheel wells. This only works on a fleetside though , stepside would require different back wheel.
