End of an era :(

I finally sold my last S-truck today. It was time. The truck was the victim of an attempted theft and was vandalized when they couldn't start it. After sitting covered on my driveway for almost a year, I decided it was time for her to go. I just don't have enough time to fix it. First time in 12 years that I don't own an S-truck. It's kinda weird.

Here's a pic of the blazer before the incident.

Re: End of an era :(

Sadly these trucks are worth more in parts that they are complete so I started to part it out. I lucked out and met two guys who are as passionate about these trucks as I am. One fella took the wheels, seats and grill. The other guy took what was left. He has pretty big plans to put it back on the road. I hope he's successful. Here's a pic on the trailer ready to be delivered to its new owner.

I though I would include a pic of my other S-truck. She left a few years ago. Sold it to my buddies son, who proceeded to completely trash it. The last time I saw it, it had a blown motor and there wasn't a straight panel left on the truck. What a waste!

I bet you were sad to see them go. Any plans to get another one?

Your breakin my heart! I have people ask me if I want to sell my dime all the time. It's gotten to the point I just throw out a price. My wife says be careful somebody may pay it.

I am, I have no plans at this time. Too many other projects plus a young family.

My heart too. I get people asking about my 72' all the time as well. I just flat out deny them. I'm too afraid they might come up with the cash.

I feel for ya. I finally let my S-truck go a couple of years ago for the same reason: I knew I didn't have time to ever get around to completing it.

Just got this pic from the guy I sold the Blazer to. Looks like he did a pretty nice job of bringing her back.

Nice! I drove its twin for 9 years. Great little truck, I miss it.
