New Pair of Sunglasses
Hey guys I just got a new pair of Ray Ban Original Wayfarer sunglasses, for cruising around in the truck. Feel free to post your opinions, your personal sunglasses, and any kind of stories. Sorry about the image having a difficult time uploading with my iphone.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
Every pair of sunglasses I get ends up either breaking or being stolen. Im thinking of tinting my eyeballs to save from further expenditure on glasses.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
I’ve been wearing Aviators and Shooters since ’71. They have been in and out of style a few times over the years but I keep replacing them with the same things when they break. I thought about getting something else after Top Gun came out. Seemed like every young alpha male who thought he was bad was wearing them in 1986-87.
I remember as a kid thinking that LBJ’s glassed looked dated and out of style. I bet kids think that about my glasses these days. Heck, I still like 15” wheels. |

I don't know aviators and wayfarers stand the test of time so far.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
I don't wear them anymore, but I still have my Oakley Razor Blades from back in the 80s. I just found out recently that they are producing a 30th annaversary edition. That'll make ya feel old...

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
I find expensive glasses to be like a "nice" ink pen. When you pay that much for them, you pay closer attention to it's whereabouts.
That being said, I have been wearing outdoor safety glasses for the last few years. I like the close fitting wraparound style. I still prefer my handmade wooden pens.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
Yea that's the big thing I do not plan on wearing these all the time. That being said they do go with style of how I want my truck to look like.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
One thing we don't have to worry much about here in western Washington is sunglasses.
In the rare event we do see sun I have a pair of Costco Maui Jims that I got on a clearance thing they had goin. Normally I sit on em or lose em so I don't buy expensive ones. But, I gotta admit the normally expensive Maui Jims do a better job.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
I had to wear regular glasses for many years, so when I got my Lasik done, I started wearing a designer style sunglass. I am partial to the Maui Jim styles in a bronze tint. These work the best for me and get rid of a lot of blue haze. If it is really cloudy or foggy, I wear a pair of light yellow shooter's glasses to lighten up things and let me see the hidden stuff in the grey fog. They can be pricey, but comfort is my goal.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
That's cool piecesparts. I actually started wearing the
Oakeys because of wearing contacts on a motorcycle. Then I had my prescription glasses converted to sunglasses after the Lasik.....some jerk stole those from me though.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
I had (have) a pair of those. Reminds me of Risky Business with Tom Cruz.

Re: New Pair of Sunglasses
I've pretty much wore nothing but Oakley's since I got my first pair of Razor Blades back in middle school (88-89). I usually get a new pair/style every 5 years or so. I still have most pairs including the razor blades.
