brake system help!
hello Im getting ready to plumb my brake system on my 57 3100. its has a 74 camaro clip and a 79 Trans Am disc brake rear. Im keeping the the MC under the floor without a booster. its the TA master cyl. i have the disc brake rear prop valve also. im not sure if I should run the stock prop valve or run an adjustable? or both? Are there residual valves built into the TA prop valve or do i need to add them? diagrams ive seen dont show both residual valves and prop valves. I know this has been discussed but i couldnt find it. thank you in advance

Can't tell you anything about the MC, but with the MC below the cab I would install the residual valves, just to play it safe, because the MC is lower that the disc brake puck and rear wheel cylinders...Jim

Agree.
Additionally, since you are now disc/disc you shouldn't need the hold off portion (delays actuation of a disc brake until the rear drums can be applied) in the production combo valve. So - my recommendation would be to eliminate the factory combo valve and use an adjustable valve on the rear, and then dial it in where you want it via experimentation. K

thank you! I found an adjustable rear bias prop valve to replace the TA valve. definately going to use residual valves. thanks again!
