Driveshaft confusion
Is the length of a driveshaft different between a long bed and a short bed? 350 vs. 400 turbo? I need some clarification quick ! !

The main housing dimensions without tail shafts are:
TH350 21.75" TH400 24.37" So driveshaft should be about 2.6 inches different. Hope this helps.

I'm currently trying to replace my shaft on a longbed 350. what's the typical length for a 70 c10 350 tranny longbed front shaft coming off the tranny?

There's about a dozen places the engine and transmission can be mounted using factory parts. Unless you and another person have the same engine stands, in the same mount holes that have or have not been swapped side to side to ask.
Its best to just measure your truck. A driveline shop can modify your shaft or build you a new one for a lot less time and money that trying to make a junkyard shaft work.
