Hi Guys If I bore out a 400 small block .030 over how many C.I. do I end up with?

406.77 to be exact,, but not many 400 blocks clean up at +.030 any more, and anything over +.040 is a VERY shakey platform for any kind of abuse. Most shops won't even bore them +.060. There a thin wall casting to begin with. Work cautiously and have the block checked thouroughly before assuming it's servicable.

As said above it is a 406. For some reason parts are sometimes labeled as 408. When I rebuilt my 400 it was 30 over and the scat kit was for a 407-408.
