What is the simplest and the best way to install a headliner in a truck that has never had one, a 68. Thanks

Since you are asking "simplest and the best way," let's not cut corners. I have heard of using the four corner screws and cutting off the plastic prongs and using a high-quality double stick tape in place of the prongs. It should work.
