60-62 lower ball joints for $50
Hey guys, looking around online I came across new lower ball joints for the 60-62 pickups for $50 each.
Unless I've been missing something the only ones were about $120 each through restoration places like LMC, brothers, kanters etc etc. http://www.performanceonline.com/Bal...sting-Sleeves/ |

The 60-62 parts are typically more expensive.

Re: 60-62 lower ball joints for $50
I just installed a set...I was hesitant but being the redheaded stepchild suspension I took a chance. They look as good as a OEM one that a friend has. Just finished the alignment after the frame off but won't be a road test very soon.. No issues so far only time will tell if they last.

Re: 60-62 lower ball joints for $50
The ones they have listed now say "New Tooling"
I'm not sure what that means, and why it means $179 when they were $50. http://www.performanceonline.com/196...-JOINTS-19794/

Re: 60-62 lower ball joints for $50
I called POL today inquiring about a sway bar listed for the 1960-72 years on eBay and found that even though it is listed for the 60-62 will only fit 63 and up...But also I inquired about the bottom ball joint price increase. His explanation was that they lost their manufacturer and now are using another source. I could not get any information if the ones I have ($50) are inferior compared to the new ones ($178). I gathered from the conversation that they all are made off shore.

I wish I knew that. I paid around $80 each for mine off ebay, but don't remember the seller.

Re: 60-62 lower ball joints for $50
Looks like CPP still has the best price.
Here they are at Brothers for $60 https://www.brotherstrucks.com/mobil...tinfo/GMBJ002/

It's been a year, now is probably a good time to bump this thread up.
