Suggestions on lowering my 69 Stepper?

I'm in the process of trying to figure out the best way to lower my stepper with keeping it OG in its Patina skin!!

I want to keep the stock steely wheels and Wrap them with a 1" white wall and cover the opening between the tires and lip of the fender's! I'm thinking of going with 1 coil cut off my stock front springs and 4" drop spring in rear?!!
What are some of your experiences or have any photos to share? Thanks
