Still going through some things and have this extra tilt column. It is tight, has the key, and functional cruise control stalk. This is correct for a 73 thru 82 but should work for a 83-87 with some minor wiring mods..... paint is nice as well as the chrome.... $145 shipped to lower 48.... first I'll take it....

How do you make it work for the 83-87, the wiper stuff is on the stalk. I don't have a place on my dash (86) like my 78

Actually I went out and compared it to a column in my students 85 and I forgot about the high beam, wipers and cruise in the turn signal stalk. Looks like the whole upper housing is different and therfore wuld not be a "minor" wiring job.... the column for sale would be able to replace any up through 83, but if i recall pre-78 had the same connector to the cab harness but the pin position is a bit different. Thats why I took the pigtails out and included them so the new owner can reposition the pins (10 minute job) to fit their application. Thanks for pointing that out!!!

The shaft on the bottom of the column is also different. 73-78 had a splined lower shaft, 79-83 had a double D lower shaft. Not a problem as long as you have the correct intermediate shaft for the column

Assuming a whole bunch of stuff hasn't been changed on the column I would say it is a 79-83 looking at the parts on it without seeing the bottom. Great price on this by the way!

What year is your truck? I build a lot of these columns and 83 and earlier use the same wiring. 1984 and up just have extra wiring for the dimmer and wipers being on the column.
