how wide of a rim can I get away with ?

I have a 78 blazer with a mild drop,flipped rear and notched,I,m doing some rust repair and have the wheel tubs out and was thinking of widening them just incase I want to run a wider rim.I, still running the leaf springs.

I think it would be close but you could get away with a 10 inch wide wheel with a 295 tire. I'm sure others have went wider though.

A 10" wheel will work in the factory wheel well. THe blazers and trucks have good size wheel openings, so you can get a way with a good size wheel / tire.

You can fit a 10" for sure. An 11" will be a tight squeeze, and a 12" will require mods to the outer fender liner.

I'm running 24x10 in the rear with a 295 tire with about a 3/8 inch space left to the inner tub on both sides give or take an 1/8 inch. One side is a little closer than the other but its due to the rear end not being centered.

i have a 10 inch with a 2" spacer on it.. so a 12 would fit.. just have to roll the lips and do some careful math.
