1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
Hello I am currently building a 72 k10 swb truck from nothing but parts. My frame is almost all together but I am missing both rear of rear spring hangers. Does anybody know where I can find them or can somebody give me some dimensions and I'll fab them up. Thanks in advance.

from Buffalo, NY. I know you can get them from LMC. Good luck with your build and welcome aboard. You'll find a lot of great information here and good people. This forum rocks!

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
I called lmc today and they said they don't carry spring hangers any more for my truck. I've google searched them and I get the same answer "we can't get them anymore".

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
No that's the shackle assembly. I need the spring hanger that the shackle bolts to. You can see the part I need in the picture but no part number

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
Depending on your plans you might look into a shackle flip kit.
It reverses the rear suspension from a tension to a compression shackle and gives about a 4" lift. Since these replace the shackle brackets it could be a solution if you were going to use rear lift springs or blocks. http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/shacklekit.htm

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
Sorry… I thought you were looking for shackles. The rear spring hangers are riveted on. What happened to yours? Here's a picture of mine from a Skyjacker lift kit leaf spring installation.

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
Dan I bought this truck as a basket case. The guy started to redo the truck and lost interest. The guy disassembled the whole frame. I mean every bracket and crossmember was off the frame. I started out with 2 frame rails and a pile of brackets and cross members. I have all the brackets accept for the rear spring hangers. That picture shows exactly what I need.

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
Tim, I looked into the shackle flip but I got 6" lift springs for the truck. I'd end up with 10" of lift in the rear if I read ord's info correctly. I just didn't want to go that wild of a lift on this truck.

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
Then just use a set of 2-1/2" rear springs with the HD shackles.
Better yet just become a subscriber and post a "want to buy" ad in the classified section.

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
GM shows the same service replacement part 3933332 (2 reqd.) for 67-72 K10-20 and K Blazer.

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
I'd post in the wanted section as well. You might find a member who has done a shackle flip and has the original hangers still, or someone who is thinking about it and could use a few bucks to help make it happen.

However if you kick up a part that would be the number. More to the point were the vehicles that all used the same replacement part. You may find a good "set" by getting singles off of two different vehicles. A quick Google seach of the P/N showed only my post here and gm parts wiki. GMparts direct does not show it in the automatic system either.

Re: 1972 k10 rear of rear leaf spring hangers
I know this is not the right area to bring this up but i have a set of those factory hangers. My truck has the off road design suspension parts under it. I'll more than likely list them in classifieds at some point . I'll have to follow the rules and list them for everybody to see.
