Anybody done a saddle interior with blue(/white) truck?

I am looking to have the seats recovered in my truck. It is a 72 swb factory dark blue and white (see avatar). I am looking for any opinion and hopefully pictures on saddle or brown interior in this color combo. Btw: the seats are buckets and a console out of a 2012 Silverado. I am kinda thinking about having them covered in saddle leather and a brown/black houndstooth insert: thoughts?

I would also think about recovering all the other interior panels to match.

Thank you in advance.

I think it would be killer looking. Are you, since going with a custom type int. going with custom[non stock type] colors on the outside? If so looking at the later truck seats also think about the blue in a later truck color that Indiglo Blue. It is a rich dark blue, the dark on the trucks of the 67-72 type are more in the med line in my opinion[but that doesn't count] Any way you go it is gonna look great don't worry it will be fine. Jim

not blue and white but I think the blue and saddle look good together. I may be a little biased though

Here's a pic of my white and tan. I used Dupli-Color on the dash pad and the arm rests but they are still a shade off from the seats. I will probably have to Dupli-Color everything to get it all to match unfortunately.

Wow. More awesome trucks guys. Msgdsrf the brown with blue really helps me get the visual. I'm liking it more and more. I just want to give a slightly modern flavor to the interior. Not too much but something to break up all the blue. As always: you guys are awesome!

Just thinking of what could have been done, but usually wasn't.

What color duplicolor did you use? And were you pleased with the quality of the finished product (not necessarily the color match)? Also, is that factory saddle carpet?

I think the blue with saddle interior would look killer, but with solid blue paint. I think adding white will only detract from that and give the eyes too much to see. I really don't think you'll "need" the white to break things up or make them POP.

I think you may be right. My truck is already blue and white two tone. I would love to do a parchment interior but I could never keep it clean. I think the blue interior is a little too much blue for my liking plus I'm not wild about the light blue (plus greenish tint) interior on a dark blue truck. Saddle just seemed like a nice compromise but I'm afraid like you say that the white will "overpower" or confuse the look. Parchment would definitely be ideal. Plus I think that blue leather is just kind of weird anyways. :/

Bumping this thread to see if you ever followed through?

I have the same truck and just purchased a full mint saddle brown interior to swap out my ratty blue.

I did tan with my blue and white truck. Still have to install the matching door panels and installed a new steering wheel but looks better than the blue interior I had

Re: Anybody done a saddle interior with blue(/white) truck?

Here is my new bench and dash pad. I have a wooden Grant wheel that should be here any day now, and then need to buy the matching door panels for my '69 and sell these blue ones. Then one day a carpet to finish it all after my floor work and sound deadening is done.
