Power windows
Has anyone used power windows made by Nu-Relic in 67-72 trucks? If so what do you think of them? They look good in the catolog.

I am looking into power windows also and I have heard good things about Nu-relic's kits for other models but I have no data on 67-72 trucks. The one thing that is for sure is you can't use the handle style switches because the assembly bolts on via the 4 factory screw holes. That is a drawback for me.

I've had mine for several years without any problems other than keeping the lubed.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs. |

i have used the elecrta life kit on a 2007 truck the guy wanted a plain truck and when I got him one he complained about the lack of windows. Anyway the only thing I ran into was of my own making. He has used the truck for I'd say 5 or 6 years now without a comeback. Jim

BigBlock67; I just finished up putting power windows in my 68. I used the ones that brothers sells. They really similar to what Nu-Relic sells but cost some what less. I believe there Italian made. They work great, Nice n smooth all the way up and all the way down. Give them a look at. Later.

I'm making my own version of the switches that are out there using the crank handle to operate the windows.....
basically, to micro switches on either side of the original window crank stub, the actualor bracket will contact the switches just a few degrees and still spring back to a normal position. the wiring I am still working on, but this will allow you to retain the faxctory look of the door panel, without cutting it up for square switches. as soon as I get the final tweaks done, I'll post my progress here..... enjoy! Thanks for the picture snipe. I was thinking of doing the same thing. Since I built the DIY regulators might as well do DIY switches.

Power windows......you know, I haven't had a crank type of window regulator in a daily driver since 2000. It'll take some getting used to for my truck but I'm fine with it.
