Re: wiring and plumbing diagram fro air ride
First thing you may want to do is go to the FAQ and tech sections at sites like Ridetech and Airbagit.com. They both have a lot of information that will get you going and also help in making the right choices in choosing how you want to set up your controls. The project sections here in the 60 to 66 and 67 to 72 have a lot of bagged trucks to give you mounting ideas for your truck.

Re: wiring and plumbing diagram fro air ride
OK so dont mean to hijack your thread but I plumbed and wired my airride similar to the link below. I have one issue though. for some reason I cannot do side to side. I have 4 switches and 8 valves but when I let the air out of say the fdriver side , the passenger side will or willnot air out. WHat can be casuing this? Do I need more valves or is my wiring wrong or do i need more switches?

Why are you going with manual valves? Get with Travis @ Pro Performance and you'll have a super clean setup.

Re: wiring and plumbing diagram fro air ride
I actually have electric valves (8) but was wondering why if I have 1 switch per corner I cant do side to side. DO I need more switches or do I need to do some rewiring?

Re: wiring and plumbing diagram fro air ride
If I may chime in with a question, that I can't seem to get a definitive answer too.
If someone can help me.. I have a 7 gallon tank that is rated at 150 psi;it is stamped on the tank. I bought this as a kit. It came with a 444 Viar compressor a and cut off switch that is 160psi on/ 200 psi off. Can I use this switch with this set up, if that tank is only rated at 150psi? And if not, what would be the appropriate switch to use? Thanks, and all help is very much appreciated.... |

Re: wiring and plumbing diagram fro air ride
Hello to all. There are series of reason y ppl, such as myself, choose manual valves. (1) main reason is electrical issues. Chevy and ratty, I had the same issue. While driving, I like a low ride, using less air in the air bags. When the driving conditions changed I would hit a switch to send air to the bags. The air would go in but not escape when I hit the switch to release the air in the bags. This happened several times. I could not figure out the problem, so I rewired the the switches, valves, and the air bag Controller cause I thought that was my problem. Problem came back again. To make matters worse, I wired and bought a new valve manifold and controller to go with the rewire. Manual/paddles valves have one main worry once installed rite, and that is leaks. Since the my removal and install of paddle valves I have one problem to date: can't get this MUG lower in the front unless I open up the wallet.

Re: wiring and plumbing diagram fro air ride
Do you have dropped spindles? I have drop shocks on mine in all 4 corners, but the rear limits my travel when I air them up. Also .it may be that I have to find a perfect air setting for the rear but My ride is a bit bumpy. Any suggestions anyone?.....
