Cab rear cross member
Getting ready to do cab floor in my '70. What worries me most is the rear cross member in the cab. It's pretty well shot. Am I better off going with the entire cab floor from a parts dealer or welding in the new cross member? Still have to do rockers and one floor, cab corners etc.
Willing, but new to this. '70GMCStep |

Re: Cab rear cross member
If you go with the right floor pan it will have the braces with it then you will just need the outer rockers and the cab corners. If there is a lot of work in the floor I would consider it . To me it would need to be gone a good ways just to change a floor for the rear cross member but I have done this for the last almost 30 years. We are here to help and I will offer any help I can through this keyboard thing. A little back ground on me I own a body shop and rebuild late model wrecks and restore old muscle and trucks for fun. And have done so since 1987. Jim
