1972 c10 mud truck project
Hey all just got my new project yesterday it's a 1972 custom 10 factory air, currently no motor trans or rear axle, but my plans are to sas it with somewhere around 10-12in of lift on around 40s, gonna do a cheaper restoration on the body but most of the rust is on the roof and inside roof around the windshield, and the bed floor, but I traded a golf cart and mower for it. It's gonna be street legal, gonna be a fun project.

Got the bed pulled and wow it's roached out on the floor, all the bolts were rusted off, all I had to do was lift it off.

Got the front axle today it's a 10 bolt with 4:10 gears
Tomorrow I'm getting the rear end which is a full floater 14bolt ANYBODY DONE A SAS ON ONE BEFORE? If so can I get details?

So you use the original 2wd frame with the 4wd running gear? Was it originally a leaf spring truck? Looks like a fun project. I'm in!

Yep but originally was coil, I got 1/4in plate to build the spring hangars

Thought my plans over for it more and I think that it is going to be a custom flat bed and painted silver because the original bed is shot...
Didn't finish pullin the front suspension yep but almost there.

Grille must be in decent shape? Looks OK from the pics, but a bit too far away to tell. Mine is sorta rough, so it'll be satin black like the grill insert, bumpers, mirrors, etc.
Are you leaving the trailing arms in back or switching that out too? Edit: Woops. There's the pic of the grill. You must be posting the pics while I'm writing.
