Snake and Mongoose

So I don't know if anyone brought this up or not, but there is a newer movie that was released called Snake and Mongoose from late 2013. For those who are too young to know, its about the rivalry/partnership between drag racing legends Don Prudhomme and Tom Mcewen.

The movie is decent, but the charm is all of the nice dragsters and period vehicles. There is HEAVY 60-66 action, being that half of the push and tow vehicles in the movie are c10's and 20's

Its worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

Re: Snake and Mongoose

Actually I got to see this movie on opening night in San Diego. Got both Don and Tom's autograph, talked to them in person, listen to stories they shared and even sat behind Don. It was awesome and a great movie about these guys and that era of drag racing.

Looks to be a good movie! I like the picture C-10 next to a D-100 or 200.

Re: Snake and Mongoose

My mom dated Don Prudhomme's brother back in the day. She told me that she carted both of them to the hospital a number of times.

The background in that pic is a mirror image with what looks like a newer white silverado.

Re: Snake and Mongoose

It is definitely a 'shopped-in background. Maybe they wer blocking out something? but it's not an exact mirror image. the pole hits the white truck in different places. On the left, it is near the taillight, on the right it is up closer to the door.

Re: Snake and Mongoose

I think the poles are actually at the track, the image is put in the back and the seam is right behind the pole. I put it back into photoshop and tried to disect it lol.

I watched it on iTunes but you would have to create an account there also unless you have one already.

Go down below the first post to the movie itself, click on it to play, then close out the 2-3 other sites that open in the background. At least it worked for me, without signing up.
