Deluxe seat material/pattern for a 1962?

I got this material off a seat in a scrap yard. Only the back was any good, I got it for a pattern for those who need it.

Can anyone confirm this is correct for a 1962? It has GS 8 66 stamped on the back side.

Re: Deluxe seat material/pattern for a 1962?

I have a 65 I am working on right now, the seat pattern is all together different than this. The design and width of everything is different. I am looking for a 65 to get the correct pattern from. If I find the correct pattern I will share, if I don't and you just want to go off of this when I am done I will let you borrow this one as well, this is only the back of the seat, the bottom was gone and covered in vinyl

I will keep you updated

cool thks, i can always change the dimensions to fit the 65 style with some crafty chalk lines. what will you be running on your foam i was goin with. 4" foam and 2" cotton cuz SMS says deluxe seats have full width 6" foam but im using cottom to soften the edges and give a soft surface. and tips on cushion selection?

Hey pimpston65, I can't help you on cushion selection but my upholstery shop put a little to much cushion in and I had to have them take some out because it made the cab smaller than it already is. Maybe I was use to driving with wore cushion but I appreciated the room.
And thank you for the heads up on BLK65K10's basement cleanout, I got the closing panel I needed.

Re: Deluxe seat material/pattern for a 1962?

That seat cover you salvaged is not the factory cover. I'm guessing its aftermarket. Do a search for the Custom Comfort option and you'll see an example of seat covers correct for 62, 63, 64 & 65, and 66.
