Fuel Filler Question

I am doing a Blazer tank conversion in my Son's 79 and are in need of help.I have a question for anyone who has already done this, where did you route the fuel filler? Is it possible to keep it in the stock location(pass side in this case)Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Fuel Filler Question

with a little effort you can run some 1.5 inch muffler tube from the stock filler hole along the inside/outside of the frame rail back to the blazer tank, using silicone coolant lines between the muffler tube and the filler neck(s).

I have in the past used a dual tank setup on a single tank bed using muffler tube and silicone coolant lines (the coolant lines were from napa and were for a crown vic cop cop car, the bends seemed almost perfect).

I have in the past also moved my filler spout to behind the left tail light on a very modified blazer body. used some cabinet hinges and cabinet magnetic catches, the kind you push in a bit and they pop out....

sorry no photos, this was the time before digital cameras were even thunk of.

Re: Fuel Filler Question

Here is mine.

It was originally mounted to the bed floor with a stock style gas cap but it wouldn't fill very well because of the immediate turn in the filler neck so we raised it up some and now you can fill it at full speed at the pump.

Cool! I was wondering how it would fill flush in the bed.My have to look at raising it up.
