Headlights

Headlights wont turn off... I have to unplug lamp to turn off...when i plug them back in at night to use lights high beams are on and wont turn off from floor switch

I would suspect the foot switch. Unless you've been doing some wiring lately. Try disconnecting the foot switch and see what difference it makes. Something is bypassing the switches. Either you have a short between wires or a switch has failed. Once you figure it out, I would recommend getting a headlight relay. It takes the load off of the switches.

were they working fine before, did you change anything in the wiring right before this happened?? maybe the headlight switch has gone bad-do all the lights stay on or just headlights? see if the dimmer switch is stuck- does it push in and out. sometimes bad grounds make weird things happen, make sure the ground wires have good contact. im sure others on here will be able to help you out.
