From Sweden with love
Hi everybody
I'm a 55 year old jack of all trades, who has been tinkering with a little bit of everything for the most part of my life. American trucks has always had a special place in my heart, though. i've oned several of them through the years, the latest was a -64 chevy apache c10 longbed stepside. I restored it with the intent of keeping it as my DD, but after completing the job and driving it for only 3 months, a friend of a friend approached me wanting to buy it. Of course i said no, but the amount of money he offered me for it, was just too good to pass up. So, i let it go. I regret it deeply now of course, but thats the way it is. I have been lurking here for some time, and on other forums too, but this one seems like the place to be. I like the athmosphere here, the kind of "familiary" feel i get when reading trough the many different builds. It kind of gives me a feeling of people beeing honest and truely helpful to each other. That, in my humble opinion, is not the case on other sites i've been visiting. And that's why i choose to join this site, and become a member here. A world of experiance and wisdom here to benefit from! That's about all from me for now, all i can say at this point is: I'm happy to be on board! Thanks. |

See? That's what i'm talking about. It's only been a little while since i did my first posting here, and you guys are already making me feel welcome! That's warming my heart and making me feel confident i made the right choice by joining here. Thank you guys! I'm actually on vacation right now in this great country of yours, and Kurt L., i visited your part of the woods last year.
As i'm sure you know, in my little part of the world we have winter now, and i usually try to get away with a few weeks of R & R before work starts up for the season again. I've been a railroad worker for 25 years, and winter is our off-season due to the cold and snow, we usually work april - christmas. Thanks again, guys1 |
