Multi carb

I'm really thinking about going with six deuces. Don't know why, but I've always wanted six deuces on an engine, but finding an intake that's reasonable ain't easy. But I finally found an offy for 3 and half. I wanted to know if anyone has ever had any big problems with offy intakes or with the six deuce setup, how hard are they on gas, I mean I don't really care( if I did I would restore my sunfire) but like 6 or 8 to the gallon, are they hard to set up, what carbs are recommended and all that good stuff

Re: Multi carb

I would search for a Hot Rodders forum. That is something old school guys might do on a deuce coupe.

Re: Multi carb

Would look cool. Your issue is going to be setting up and syncing the carbs. Not many people around that can can set up dual cars let alone three or more.

Re: Multi carb

i set up a 6deuce setup many years ago// was not worth the effort compared to the horsepower we could get out of a two 4 barrels unit

if you want to run a 6duece setup alot of guys just run on two carbs and the out ward 4 are just there for window dressing

Re: Multi carb

It would be cool until you close the hood...Six Deuces is an eye candy set up and anyone but a carb experts nightmare...I really like the three deuce set ups and they can be tuned for some awesome performance...But again, when you close the hood, only the eye in your mind knows... Might look cool under a plexiglass hood though..."just sayin"

Re: Multi carb

With multiple carbs I would also make sure your fuel lines and gas tank are in excellent condition, if not I would replace every bit of it andthoroughly flush the lines out to remove any debris from the installation. The main reason people have problems with multiple carbs is trash in the fuel system, once set up multiple carbs should not need any more maintenance than a single carb.
