You'll need mounts for a small block, and the wiring harness can be modified (I did it back when I was a kid). It's not a hard swap and the guys on this board can give you a lot of tips to make it go easier.

You can even use the stock 6-cylinder mounts, but the distributor cap will be close to the firewall....and a HEI distributor may not fit. It is a very easy swap, and whatever parts you need are easy to find and cheap to buy.

In addition to yellow72custom's responce...that will only work if your inline is a 250. The 292 has one inline mount, and one small block mount if memory serves.

Noooo......keep the inline, or donate it to me. I went the opposite way. I went from a 327 to a 250. I swapped the 327 towers out for the 250s and that was it. I had like 4 or 5 wires to hook up after I swapped in the 250. It's really easy. The passenger side 292 mount is farther forward than the driver's side. The passenger side 292 mount is where the fuel pump on a 250 is. Hope this helps. Save the sixes. Donate them to me. It'll be much more fun when you smoke a V-8 with an I6.

BTW---Andy, when a woman wears a shirt like that you're supposed to guess SIZE. Just tell her you need to hold them to be absolutely certain what size they are.
