What shifter

I am starting to gather parts for my swap. I have read some about headers not working with stock column shifters. So I was wound earring what shifter you guys are using. Maybe some pictures of them installed.

No I used the one with the rod. I think the part number is ACA-1800. There are pictures in my suburban build thead and my 68 S/C build thread.

Re: What shifter

Do you think it would work on a 6L80E Trans?

Yes. I'm using it on my 68 S/C, LS3/6L80. Look towards the end of the thread.

Thanks and your welcome. You may have to add a spacer on the lower linkage for the 6L80. Here's a picture.

Re: What shifter

Is it as easy as ordering ACA-1800 or do they need more info for customization?

I bought the ACA1801 and sent LOKAR the aluminum arm to get it splined to fit the 6L80. You don't have to do that, you can just add in a 1/2-5/8" spacer.

Re: What shifter

I used a stock column shifter and 2010 Camaro exhaust manifolds on my '72. No clearance issues whatsoever.

Re: What shifter

Aca 1804 is a cable from lokar that uses factory shifter as well. No bending necessary.
