Bought parts for $290.00
I bought, 2 and 1/2 inch drop spindles, 6 lug rotors, backing plates, calibers, front brakes hoses, rear drums, backing plates, rear brake cylinders, emergency cables, and a chrome alternator for $290.00. They had only 1,000 miles on them. That should keep me busy next winter.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
Nice score! The front spindle and brake set up is worth $600 alone!

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
It will be a while before I get started. I need 4 inch lower rear springs, and an adjustable track bar, and 18 inch 6 lug wheels, and tires. It may be a year or two. I have the money, but can't see buying the wheels, and tires, because mine are new.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
Nice truck!
You can surely use te 15" smothies until you buy bigger wheels, any chance you would be towing? Might go bags then. Rear springs are 100-120\pr and a track bar is around 60.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
I won't be towing. Do you think my 15 inch wheels will work with front disk brakes.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
They look like chromed aftermarket wheels, I would think they would. If they were stock wheels from the early 70's then I would bet not. Reach a tape in behind and get you a ball park idea of the back spacing. That will tell you for sure.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
I would put it all together off of the truck and than put it on the wheel to make sure. I had a set of drop spindles that did not work with my aftermarket 15" wheels.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
The rotors, calipers, and spindles are all together. I will take a wheel off , and see if it will work. I am trying to figure a way to get the chrome cap off the chrome wheel without scratching them.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
I think they have plastic pry bars at auto parts stores. Om mine there is usually a small gap along the edge because the caps don't fit perfectly.

Re: Bought parts for $290.00
I took the wheel off today, and put it on the drop with the rotor, and caliper all together. It did fit. Here are some pics. The wheel. The wheel on the truck with stock spindle. The drop and rotors. And the wheel on the drop. It looks like the wheel is in the same position.
