67 vs 69 war time
Alright guys, Now I know there are a TON of VERY good looking trucks that are both 67 and 69 c10. It's up to you guys to convince me on which looks better.
Story. Got a 69 c10 and always wanted to have a 67. So I sold my 69 front clip minus the grille and bought a 67 clip. Put it all together on my truck and now I'm debating if I liked the 69 more or not. I'm starting the think that I like each year equally. Thing is, I can only put one clip on the truck. I don't want to put a 67 on the truck and later down the road regret not keeping it a 69 or vise versa keeping it a 69 and wanting the 67 instead. My front clip once completed will be tilt forward and removable, so I was maybe thinking of building 2 front clips the exact same other than one will be a 67 and one will be a 69. That way if one day I want a 69, than I can remove the 67 clip and on the 69 and vise versa. But before I decide to go that route with 2 separate front clips, I'd like to see nice 67 c10's and nice 69 c10's. |

Re: 67 vs 69 war time
I was thinking that as well. I was thinking I could do some mods and get the 69 grille to fit the 67 clip, but I'd still be in the same boat. Do all the work to get it to fit and later realize I should of just stuck with the 67 grille. I don't know lol.

It wouldn't matter near as much if it had 4 headlights.

Seems like a lot of 67 fans so far. I don't think the 69 fans are awake yet

Re: 67 vs 69 war time
I'm partial to 67 although 69 would be my second choice.

Re: 67 vs 69 war time
You seem to be a fan of the cleaner look if you are shaving the lights. I would point out that in my opinion the 67 is cleaner. I might be bias, but there does seem to be a swing toward the slant nose lately.

Re: 67 vs 69 war time
Go gmc! Lol. I am a big fan of the 69. It's rare yet recognizable. But since you plan on shaving stuff and not keeping it original the 67 may look slicker.
Of course having the option of being able to swap clips back and forth would be awesome! Look thru the artistic shot thread. Lots of good looking trucks there. It changed my opinion on the 67 grill. But ultimately, build it the way YOU want it! Good luck and post some pics! |

I do agree although that being able to swap clips would be real cool, but with the way I'm going to build the front clip, it's going to take a long time and a lot more $$$ to make 2 identical clips but different years. |

Re: 67 vs 69 war time
I am going through this exact same delemmah. I have a 69 blazer that has a 67 front clip on it. Originally wanted to go back to stock but then I saw a few blazers with 67 clips.......I guess I too have to figure out which one I like before I start working on it!
I would have posted that link and a few others for you but I can't figure out how to do it with my new phone. It's easy to find. Keep us posted and post some picks of what your workin with. |
