Finally Got The Rally's Installed

So it looks like the threat of snow is finally gone in the northeast so I finished blasting the 15 x 8 rims and got them painted up and put 255/70's on them. The only issue I had was putting the center caps on the front. The screws they gave me were a little too long and bottomed out on the drums. A grinder took care of that issue.

I like the rims and all but I'm a little disappointed how they fill the wheel wells. I was expecting them to fill it in more. In fact it looks like the rear is jacked up more for some reason. I wasn't planning on lowering the truck but now I'm not sure. It's a leaf rear so my options are limited unless I want to pay $400(ouch!) for a set of lowering leafs. I don't like the idea of doing the flip so I will skip that option. I am planning on switching the front to disk so I could do the drop then. For now I think I'll get the shackle kit first and see how that looks.

This is a truck I saw a while ago that I am hoping to get the stance of.

I am guessing here, but...
That look your going for in the last truck picture is a coil spring truck with, and I guessing here... a 2.5' front & 4"-5' rear drop.
That is exactly the height and rims I choose as step #1 on all my truck after I get them on the road.

However, i recently swapped the same tires from the rallys to 15x8 wheel vintique steelies. Same trim rings, 66/67 poverty caps. Sold the rally centers but still have the rallys (for sale, btw)

Wideside - Thanks for the pics. I wish my paint was as good as yours looks. Mine is definitely a 20ft paint job. I have some panel replacements too that need to be done. But rust protection of what is in great shape first.

Kelsfine69 - I was thinking the same thing. I will drive it for a bit like it is and see if it grows on me. I will probably get the shackle lowering which would give me 1-1.5" inch of drop to level things out. Then if I do lower front I can just get the 3" drop leafs to go with a 2.5" drop spindles.

I will say this though, what a change in handling over the stock rims and skinny tires. The old set will be my winter beaters.

Beautiful truck and would look killer lowered some. Easy 1 1/2" drop with longer shackles BTW>

Why are you against the flip? For $100 and some shocks you can lower the rear 5" without changing the stock ride. Easy to put back with a bolt on kit, that's what I have planned for mine.

I have stock wheels on mine (actually the stock rims from my Jimmy with the truck hub caps) and 265 75 15 which fill the wheel well nicely.

Future plans include 5 lug disc conversion with 2 1/2" drop spindles and 2" springs. Flip kit in the rear with 5 lug housing. I have the shackles if that's not low enough. 17x8 front with 235 55 17 and 275 55 17 rears.
