WTB: Cab for 60-61 GMC

I'm looking for a solid cab for my 60 GMC 1/2 ton. I'm not 100% certain that 60-66 cabs are all the same, but if they are, then let's open it up to that year range.

Might be a ridiculous request for a cab for with solid rockers and a decent floor, plus the rest to not have large holes from rust.

Thanks,
Scott

60-62 cabs should work for you. In 63 they changed the front cab mount and in 64 changed the windshield/door shapes.

I have a 62 GMC cab that has a good title in my name. However it needs work on the rockers. Its doubtful you can find a cab this old that is rust free.

It looks good OldTruckMan!

I'll have to see the feasibility of getting it from Arkansas, but it's a possibility.

Oh man, that's a nice one too. NC is a little ways away for me though. :-(

I guess the other question I should ask is, what is a cab worth to either of you two, just so I know what a fair price is.

Re: WTB: Cab for 60-61 GMC

I am located between Phoenix and Tucson, Az just off of Interstate 10. I have a nice 62 bare cab, original AZ truck just 14 1/2 hours away from you. It is in great shape, good rockers, has a couple very small rust holes on both corners of the front floorboard. A small flat patch panel on both sides will be needed to make it perfect. Both cab corners are good, no rust but will need dents pounded out or patch panels. I have 2 new patch panels I will throw in. I even have a new dash patch panel for the radio that I will throw in. It has a clean AZ title. I would take $500 for it. I know it's a long trip, but not having to repair a bunch of rust would save you in the long run. I'll try and post some pics in a few minutes. I was going to use it on a 62 that I have, but bought another truck so this one needs a new home. If you are interested send me an email @ rnmcole@msn.com .Thanks Runningiron. CAB SOLD

Re: WTB: Cab for 60-62 GMC

Anyone else? Seems these cabs sell like hotcakes.

Perhaps someone knows a salvage yard that has some good cabs?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: WTB: Cab for 60-61 GMC

Scott, You might try calling Flatop Bob the owner at Owens Auto Salvage in Wellington, Tx. He has a huge yard and deals with older cars and trucks. If he has a cab, he will take pics of it and email it to you. If he doesn't have a cab, he might refer you to someone he may know that has one. He is a super guy as well as honest. If you belong to the H.A.M.B you already know his reputation. If not, his number is 800-798-2581 or 806-447-2581 or flatopbob32.@gmail.com I thinks he about 6 or 7 hours north of you. Good luck. Bob

Dang, that is solid.

Sadly, California is 20+ hours away. I could swing a 8 or 10 hour trip, but Cali is a little too far.

I really appreciate the response though.
