77 GMC carb problems

I ve been having some problems with my truck, i haven't moved it in about 2 months but sometimes when i start it, the choke warms up so i give it a little gas and a few seconds later it shuts off and i cant start it back up. also sometimes if i give it gas too fast it shuts off and sometimes its fine it wont shut off no matter how fast you press the accelerator. please someone help i need a solution to whats wrong with it.

Does it run OK when it warms up?

Does choke close when the engine is cold, and then gradually open?

It sometimes runs fine but most of the times i cant even get it out of the garage because it shuts off when i put it in drive or give it gas to fast.

I had issues with the backflow valve in my 79 carb,it would come out of place and block the flow,kinda like you describe....
