Re: house under throttle body?
That is the steam line. It's basically an air purge. One end goes to the driver side cylinder head and the other end was returned to the radiator - preferably at a higher point than the hose barb on the throttle body. If you don't have a good way to get a fitting into the radiator, the not quite as good option is to drill and tap the flat part of the water pump and return it there.

Re: house under throttle body?
Not the overflow tube. It goes to the regular tank below the cap.

Re: house under throttle body?
So I can just use a regular tank beside the radiator?

Re: house under throttle body?
Its going to be under pressure, so the external bottle is out of the question. It will just fill up the bottle until it over flows. Then you're sad. Tried and true option is to install a radiator hose drain. I installed a drain assembly in to the top hose on a 5.3 with the fitting pointing down, installed a NPT fitting to receive the steam hose. I was worried about getting an airlock on the hose if the steam entered from the top. From the bottom it seemed like it would be submerged in coolant. Not sure if it made a difference but the system worked. Summit racing, look up radiator hose drain.

Re: house under throttle body?
I would search steam line above in the search box. There is a lot of info here. I would post a picture of mine but I don't have one on my phone. I drilled and taped my water pump

Re: house under throttle body?
Its been a bit, I think it was the Summit sme-2201-11, its 1 3/4"
inch hose in black. Measure your radiator hoses, my project was into a 81' Firebird so it could be slightly different. Keep track of your water pump outlet size as well (lower outlet). If you ever have a bad water pump there will be two different water pumps available with two different outlet sizes. And they are expensive. Remove the little drain adapter and screw in a suitable NPT fitting with a barbed end to receive the steam hose. A couple small clamps and you're in. I'm certain there are better options or more "correct" options but that was my solution. Good luck. 88Ironduke

Re: house under throttle body?
This is what I have done with a couple of swaps,no problems. The portions of the line that go to the throttle body can be eliminated as well.
