630 Brakes
Guys,
I have a 1956 GMC 630 has been sitting, to the point where master is froze. Truck has not been out of barn in 25 years. It has frame mounted master with Hydrovac, twin cyc drums. Any ideas should I try to save that system who knows conditon of the hrdrovac. Not sure if any of you guys have ever converted one of those systems to a newer style master/booster. Not really excited about the single outlet master. I know newer GM's have dual 1/4 in lines out of masters, what would that flow compared to old system, one would think that would push enough fluid these new calipers are getting big. Any ideas anyone has would be great, getting a plan together before I start buying parts. |

Cool find, Firefool. Check with NAPA for the brake stuff. Pretty sure they can hook you up. There is a pressure difference from the hydrovac to the dual circuit vac assist. There are a couple of guys on stovebolt that are pretty sharp on these things.

New Hydrovac and brake parts ordered from Rich, at Midwest Power Products, very helpful knew right what I needed.
