Throttle linkage
For you guys that don't have a drive by wire.....
What are you running for linkage that does not bind. |

Re: Throttle linkage
A 3' mountain bike brake cable with a knarp end at the stock '72 gas pedal. Works great and only cost $12. For the mounting end at the firewall, I drilled out the clip on the stock throttle cable.

Re: Throttle linkage
I pretty much used the same as ^he did. 70's cable style pedal. I made my stock 2002 throttle cable work instead of a bike cable and a knarp, but I think that is pretty legit way to go about it. My pedal sits up off the floor pretty high, so I may re-do it. My pop say 70's van pedals would work better for the firewall in earlier trucks (66 and earlier)

Re: Throttle linkage
I used the factory cable from the donor 2000 model with the stock '82 pedal. Did not have to change anything.
I have the same pedal in my '65, so I will do the same when I put the LS into it.

Re: Throttle linkage
when he says "cable end" i wonder if he means he's using a knarp or crimping some sort of thing on the cable.
